Hosting & Acceptable Use Policy

Rules that help keep RedBug-managed websites, hosting, email, and related services secure and reliable.

Last updated: September 15, 2026.

This policy applies to hosting, website-care, email, domain-management, and related services provided or managed by RedBug Studios LLC. It supplements any signed service agreement. Third-party hosting, registrar, email, software, and infrastructure providers may also impose their own acceptable-use rules.

Prohibited uses

  • Illegal activity or content that violates applicable law.
  • Phishing, credential theft, fraud, impersonation, deceptive schemes, or malware distribution.
  • Unsolicited bulk email, abusive messaging, or use that causes IP addresses, domains, or mail systems to be blocklisted.
  • Unauthorized access, scanning, exploitation, denial-of-service activity, or attempts to interfere with another system or user.
  • Content or activity that infringes intellectual-property, privacy, publicity, or other rights.
  • Storing or distributing malicious code, stolen credentials, pirated materials, or unlawfully obtained personal data.
  • Use that consumes unreasonable resources, disrupts shared infrastructure, or creates a material security or stability risk.
  • Using RedBug-managed services to violate the rules of an upstream provider or third-party platform.

Security responsibilities

Customers must use reasonable security practices, including protecting passwords, using multi-factor authentication when available, limiting administrator access, and promptly notifying RedBug of suspected compromise. Customers should not send passwords or sensitive credentials through insecure channels when a safer method is available.

Updates, maintenance, and third-party software

Website software, plugins, themes, integrations, and third-party services may require updates or configuration changes for security and compatibility. RedBug may perform routine maintenance or recommend changes. Features can change or become unavailable when an independent vendor changes or discontinues a product.

Backups

Where backups are included in a service plan, RedBug will use the backup systems available under that plan. Backups reduce risk but are not a guarantee against every form of data loss or corruption. Customers should keep independent copies of business-critical source files, credentials, original media, and other records that cannot easily be recreated.

Domains, licenses, and renewals

Domain names, premium plugins, themes, email products, software licenses, and other third-party services may renew on separate schedules and may have provider-specific terms or non-refundable charges. Customers are responsible for keeping required account, contact, and payment information current unless RedBug has agreed in writing to manage those items.

Suspension or restriction

RedBug may temporarily restrict or suspend a service when reasonably necessary to address a security incident, legal demand, nonpayment, material policy violation, abuse complaint, or threat to other customers or infrastructure. When practical, we will attempt to contact the customer and provide an opportunity to correct the issue.

Service availability

RedBug works to provide reliable service but does not promise uninterrupted availability of independent hosting, DNS, internet, software, data-center, registrar, email, or third-party systems unless a signed agreement contains a specific service-level commitment.

Reporting abuse or security concerns

Report suspected abuse, compromise, or security concerns to hello@redbugstudiosar.com or call (870) 227-8030.
